Direct Marketing Policy

Effective Date: August 2026

Universal Journal is committed to conducting all direct marketing and promotional activities in a responsible, ethical, transparent, and professional manner. All communications with researchers, authors, reviewers, academic institutions, and the wider scholarly community are intended solely to provide accurate information about the Journal's aims, scope, editorial policies, publication opportunities, and scholarly activities.

1. Ethical Communication

Universal Journal ensures that all direct marketing communications are accurate, truthful, and transparent. The Journal does not use misleading statements, exaggerated claims, or false representations regarding its indexing status, impact, acceptance rates, publication speed, or academic reputation.

2. Manuscript Invitations

The Journal may invite researchers, academics, and professionals to submit manuscripts only when their expertise is relevant to the Journal's aims and scope.

Receiving an invitation does not imply acceptance for publication. Every submitted manuscript undergoes the Journal's standard editorial screening and independent peer-review process before any publication decision is made.

3. Email Communication

Universal Journal does not engage in unsolicited bulk email (spam), deceptive solicitation, excessive promotional campaigns, or misleading marketing practices.

Journal announcements and manuscript invitations are sent only to individuals whose academic interests are relevant to the Journal's scope. Recipients may request removal from future promotional communications at any time.

4. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board based solely on academic quality, originality, scientific merit, ethical compliance, and relevance to the Journal's aims and scope.

Marketing activities, sponsorship, institutional relationships, or financial considerations shall never influence editorial decisions, peer review, manuscript acceptance, or publication outcomes.

5. Transparency

Universal Journal ensures that all information published on its website—including editorial policies, publication ethics, peer review, indexing status, publication fees, licensing, and editorial board information—is accurate, regularly updated, and publicly accessible.

The Journal does not claim inclusion in any indexing database or abstracting service unless official acceptance has been confirmed by the respective organization.

6. Compliance

This policy supports the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing and reflects Universal Journal's commitment to ethical scholarly communication.

The Journal follows internationally recognized publishing standards promoted by organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).
